Abstract

The collaborative development of vocational education in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei plays an important role in upgrading regional industrial structure and coordinating the economic development. From three aspects of school level, educational finance and major structure, this study examined the development status of vocational education in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, and found some problems such as the low level of development in secondary vocational education, great gaps in educational investment, and low degree of coordination between vocational education structure and industrial demand. In the future, Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei should adhere to the principles of differentiation in the development, coordination in industrial layout and coordination in population structure, and focus on strengthening the overall planning in educational funding, enrollment and employment, student cultivation and school management, so as to provide institutional guarantee for the implementation of vocational education.
