Abstract

Objective:To improve the quality of seed seedlings of Chinese medicinal materials,the multifunctional floatable concentrates for seed coating(FSC)were prepared.Methods:Based on the previous study,a series of wetting and dispersing agent,thickening agent,film-forming agent and other agents were optimized to construct the formulation and the physicochemical characteristics of FSC were measured.Then the application in emergence rate and the effect of FSC on diseases and pests of astragalus,liquorice and platycodon were studied in field.Results:The wet milling method was ultimately chosen as the optimal method to prepare the FSC which contains the following fomula:certain insecticide,bactericide,mineral nutri-tion and growth regulator as active ingredient;NNO 3% and CMN 1% as wetting and dispersing agent;sodium alginate tech grade 1% and Arabic gum 1% as thickening agent and PVA-1799 3% and CMC 1% as film-forming agent.The further field experiment revealed that,the germination and emergence rate were increased,seedling growth were improved and in the mean-time the defenses against disease,bugs were enhanced under treatment of FSC.Conclusion:The FSC's index of quality anal-ysis was qualified,and it will have the good market application prospect.
