摘要

Abstract

It's difficult to calculate the composite stiffness of variable stiffness parabolic leaf spring by using traditional calculation formula.A method of Finite Element Analysis(FEA) can make it,but assistant software and a lot of time are required.To make the calculation easier and time-saving,an efficient method for calculating the composite stiffness of variable stiffness parabolic leaf spring is developed and evaluated.Firstly,the author built up a simplified model for triple-leaf variable stiffness spring and derived a composite stiffness calculation method for it by using the numerical integration method.Secondly,computer programs are written using Matlab for this new method.The method can be extended to be applied on triple-leaf and multi-leaf spring.Finally,the accuracy of the method was verified through the rig test and FEA analysis.Result from the rig test and FEA analysis shows that calculation result by using the method based on simplified model is acceptable.The method can provide reference for variable stiffness parabolic leaf spring design,and production for that composite stiffness can be calculated quickly and accurately by using the method in the case of the basic parameters of the leaf spring were known.
