Abstract

Both the influence of bubbles on porous medium acoustic characteristics and the reflection and transmis-sion of acoustic waves at the layered solid are important problems. In order to obtain the acoustic reflection and transmission coefficients of the layered gassy unsaturated porous medium,the Biot wave equation and elastic moduli based on bubble vibration correction are introduced, and the solutions of three transmission waves are substituted into the wave equation. The reflection and transmission coefficients of the acoustic wave from water to water - lay-ered porous medium are given according to the boundary conditions of a plane wave perpendicularly incident. Nu-merical results show that bubble size,volume concentration and thickness are important factors that affect the prop-agation of sound waves in the layered porous medium. When the incident wave frequency is sufficiently low, the layer exhibits good sound transmission. When the frequency is high enough,the transmission coefficient and the re-flection coefficient present a quick oscillation. When the frequency is close to the bubble resonance frequency, bubble resonance leads to large attenuation which prohibits sound wave go through the layer.
