Abstract
Objective To study the effect of playing background music on pain and anxiety in patients undergoing hand injury surgery under local infiltration anesthesia.Methods 100 patients undergoing local anesthesia in the operation room of the outpatient department were randomly divided into two groups, 50 patients in the music group and 50 patients in the control group. The patients in both groups were given routine nursing during operation. Background music was played when the patients of music group into the operating room. Blood pressure and heart rate were compared between the two groups. The visual analog scale (VAS) was used to evaluate the pain, anxiety and satisfaction of the two groups.Results The systolic blood pressure and heart rate were higher in the control group than in the music group. The anxiety in the control group was higher than that in the music group, while the satisfaction of the control group was lower than that in the music group.Conclusion Putting the patients in familiar and melodic music can alleviate their negative psychology and be beneficial to their physical and mental health.关键词
