Abstract

A petroleum gas-air steam gasification process for synthesis of ammonia gas was established based on Aspen plus simulation software using petroleum coke as the gasification feedstock. Based on the verification model, the simulation and calculation of the gasification process were carried out. Influence of the gasification temperature, gasification pressure, ER and S/PC on the volume fraction of the syngas, syngas yield and the molar ratio of H2 to N2were analyzed. The results showed that increasing the temperature or increasing the pressure will decrease the volume fraction of hydrogen. Low temperature and pressure are suitable for preparation of ammonia synthesis gas. Increasing ER will decrease the molar ratio of H2 to N2 and increase the yield of synthesis gas. S/PC will increase the molar ratio of H2 to N2 , and the syngas yield will also increase.
