摘要

Abstract

A needles-net type IWC system ( Ionic Wind Cooling System) was designed for high power LED cooling because of the constraints of traditional heat dissipation methods. The working performance of the IWC system was investigated experimentally under different generator structure and working parameters. The temperature distribution of the cooling system was measured by infrared thermal imager. The results indicate that the ionic wind has good cooling performance for high power LED chip. Cooling device can achieve the best cooling effect under 80 μm tip radius of curvature and 7.5 mm needle spacing. It is also found that when the corona power is 3 W,the chip pin temperature can be reduced in a short time.
