Abstract

The co-combustion experiment of oily sludge and coal was carried out on a lab-scale fluidized bed incineration test platform to investigate the emission of gas pollutants and the characteristics of ash and residue.Results showed that the emission of NOx and SO2 was lower than the emission standards for hazardous waste incineration,which was due to the inhibition of SO2 emission by the alkali metal compounds in coal.The leaching toxicity of the residue was within the standard range.However,the leaching toxicity of the ash was higher than that of residue,due to the fact that the heavy metals in volatile and soluble forms were more likely to be concentrated in ash.The CO emission far exceeded the standard value and the ignition loss of ash was high,which was possibly attributed to the insufficient combustion of oily sludge in the lab-scale fluidized bed.Therefore,it is important to achieve the sufficient incineration of oily sludge in the subsequent pilot and demonstration projects.Results can provide theoretical support for the comprehensive utilization of ash and residue.
