Construction of Core Competence System for Clinical Teachers of Nursing Undergraduates

Abstract
Objective To develop a core competence system for clinical teachers of nursing undergraduates and to provide reference for the training and assessment of clinical teachers. Methods The initial system was developed after literature review, theoretical analysis and group discussion and 19 experts in nursing education and management and clinical nursing were surveyed by using Delphi method for 3 rounds. Results Core competence system consisted of 4 first-level indicators including teaching competence, professional competence, management competence and problem-solving ability;12 second-level indicators and 42 third-level indicators and the connotation of first-and second-level indictors were identified. Conclusion With high positive coefficient and authoritative coefficient and a high level of consensus among the experts, the core competence system for clinical teachers of nursing undergraduates is reliable and practical.关键词
