Abstract
The crushed sweet sorghum stalk is a cohesive system and the model material in this study, and the mixing process in the drum reactor during the solid-state fermentation for ethanol production has been studied. This paper determined the properties of the crushed sweet sorghum stalk material preliminarily. Then the accuracy of the formula of the particle orbital model on the cross section was verified by experiment without baffles. In the case of existing baffles, the influence of the number and the length of those baffles on the mixing process has been taken into account. Combined with DEM simulation, the long baffles has been taken to study its influence on the mixing characteristic. The above research is of great practical significance for improving the technology of continuous solid-state fermentation of ethanol production as well as the design and optimization of the reactor.关键词
