Influence of home nursing on self-care ability of middle-aged and young stroke patients and the care ability of their caregivers based on "Time It Right"

Abstract
Objective:To explore the influence of home-based nursing on self-care of patients with stroke and care ability of their family caregivers based on "Time It Right" (TIR).Methods:A total of 109 cases of middle-aged and young stroke patients and their family caregivers were randomly divided into the experimental group (55 cases) and the control group (54 cases).The experimental group was treated with TIR based home nursing on the basis of conventional nursing care and follow-up;the control group received the neurology routine care and follow-up.The exercise of Self-Care Agency Scale (ESCA) and Family Caregiver Task Inventory (FCTI) were conducted at the time of before intervention,discharge,3 months after discharge,and 6 months after discharge to assess the self-care ability of patients and the care ability of caregivers.Results:After intervention,the self-care ability of patients in the experimental group were higher than the control group in every measurement point (P＜0.05 or P＜0.01),and the care ability of caregivers in the experimental group was lower than the control group in every measurement point(P＜0.05 or P＜0.01).Conclusions:Home nursing based on TIR could effectively improve the self-care ability of middle-aged and young stroke patients and the care ability of their family caregivers.关键词
