Preparation and property of anti-mosquito polyethylene terephthalate fiber

Abstract
A type of novel anti-mosquito polyethylene terephthalate (PET) was prepared by using spin-ning grade PET chips and self-made anti-mosquito additives. The investigation of its thermal properties re-vealed that compared with pure PET fiber, the thermal stability and the heat transition temperature of the ob-tained anti-mosquito PET did not change obviously, while the enthalpy during the thermal transition of the ob-tained anti-mosquito PET decreased. In addition, the obtained mosquito repel ent PET pel ets were spun into fibers by melt spinning. Compared with pure PET fiber, the mechanical strength of the anti-mosquito PET fi-ber decreased slightly, while the elongation at break improved. When the anti-mosquito additive content was 6%, the tensile strength of the obtained anti-mosquito was 3.1 cN/dtex and the elongation at break was 36%, which was a mosquito repel ent PET fiber with excel ent comprehensive properties.关键词
