Abstract

In order to analyze the differential expression patterns of platelet activation factor (PAF) in different stress resistance cattle varieties under hygrothermal environment,and to explicate the specialized expression pattern of PAF in the semen of a stress resistance cattle variety,Shuxuan cattle,5 Shuxuan bulls and 10 Simmental bulls around 2-month age were selected.The quality of sperm and the expression quantity of PAF were measured continuously from September 2016 to March 2017.The result showed that the PAF activity significantly and negatively correlated with sperm density and sperm vigor in Simmental(P<0.01,r=-0.934;P<0.01,r=-0.953).The activity of PAF significantly and negatively correlated with sperm density and sperm vigor of Shuxuan bull (P<0.01,r=-0.912;P<0.05,r=-0.848,respectively).The average expression quantity of PAF in Shuxuan bull was 3.92 ng/mL from September to December in 2016,and 3.08 ng/mL from January to March in 2017,respectively.The influence of heat stress on the sperm quality of Shuxuan bull was less than that of the Simmental bull.
