Soft-Switching High Voltage Gain DC-DC Converter Based on Switched-Capacitor

Abstract
In this paper, a switched-capacitor based DC-DC converter topology with high voltage gain and soft-switching character is presented. The proposed topology can achieve high voltage gain without operating the switches at extreme duty cycle and has PWM voltage regulation ability similar to conventional Boost converter. Through resonant soft-switching technique, zero-voltage switching (ZVS) turn-on of all switches and zero-current switching (ZCS) turn-off of all diodes are achieved, which is useful to improve the efficiency and power density of the converter. The voltage stresses of switches and diodes are low, so low voltage level and low on-resistance devices can be adopted to reduce the conduction losses. The operation principle of the proposed topology was analyzed in detail, and the steady-state characteristics were analyzed, including voltage gain characteristics and soft-switching operating conditions. Finally, a prototype converter with 25-40V input and 400V/1kW output was established, and the experimental results verified the theoretical analysis.关键词
