Comparison of Slaughter Performance and Development and Tissue Morphological Structure of Complex Stomach of Hu Sheep with Quiet and Excited Temperaments
摘要
Abstract
This study was to compare the slaughter performance and the development and tissue morphological structure of complex stomach of Hu sheep with quiet and excited temperaments.Quiet and excited Hu Sheep,10 for each temperament, were selected through the temperament comparison method, each temperament was set as 1 group, and feeding condition of the two groups was the same. The pre-experiment lasted for 7 days, and the experiment lasted for 60 days. After the experiment, sheep was slaughtered to collect complex stomach, which was made for tissue slides after weighted. The results showed that no significant differences were found in dry matter intake, live weight before slaughter, carcass weight and organ indexes of Hu lambs with different temperaments (P>0.05),but dressing percentage of quiet Hu sheep was significantly higher than that of excited Hu sheep (P<0.05).There was no significant difference in complex stomach index (P>0.05),however,stratum corneum thickness of rumen epithelium was significantly lower while stratum basale and rumen papillae thicknesses were significantly higher in quiet Hu sheep compared with excited Hu sheep (P <0.05).In conclusion, quiet Hu sheep is better than excited Hu sheep in dressing percentage, although no significant difference is found in complex stomach development, quiet Hu sheep has wider lumen papillae and thinner stratum corneum, which is more beneficial for absorption of nutrients.关键词
