摘要

Abstract

The negative balances of energy and other nutrients usually occur during the transition period because of a series of factors,thereby inducing many metabolic disorders.It is reported that dietary supplementation of rumen-protected methionine can regulate energy and lipid metabolism,improve liver health,and enhance the antioxidant capacity and immune function of transition dairy cows.In this article,the physiological metabolism and body health of transition dairy cows regulated by rumen-protected methionine were reviewed,and the appropriate supplementation doses were discussed as well.Hence,this review could provide references for the fundamental research and application of methionine in transition dairy cows.
