Abstract
This experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of dietary daidzein on performance,egg quality and plasma hormone indices of local laying hens during late laying cycle.A total of 192 fifty-five-weekold Rugao yellow laying hens with similar body weight and laying rate were randomly assigned to 2 groups with 6 replicates in each group and 16 hens in each replicate.Hens in the control group were fed a basal diet,the others in the experimental group were fed the basal diet supplemented with 60 mg/kg daidzein.The pre-test period lasted for 2 weeks and the trial period lasted for 14 weeks.The results showed as follows:1) the laying rate of experimental group was significantly higher than that of control group (P<0.05),however,the mortality,average egg weight,average daily feed intake and ratio of feed to egg had no significant differences compared with the control group (P>0.05).2) The egg Haugh unit of experimental group was significantly higher than that of control group (P<0.05),however,the other egg quality indices had no significant differences compared with the control group (P>0.05).3) The plasma estradiol content of experimental group was significantly higher than that of control group (P<0.05),the plasma follicle stimulating hormone content of experimental group was significantly lower than that of control group (P<0.05),however,the other plasma hormone indices had no significant differences compared with the control group (P>0.05).In conclusion,dietary supplemented with 60 mg/kg daidzein can improve performance,egg quality and plasma hormone indices of local laying hens during late laying cycle.关键词
