Process parameters optimization of selective laser melting molding of AZ91D magnesium alloy

Abstract
The AZ91D magnesium alloy powder is used as raw material to optimize the selective laser melting molding process. First,orthogonal test and range analysis method are used to study the influence rule of three key process parameters,including laser power,scanning speed and scanning distance,on the mechanical properties of the workpiece.Then the specimen with optimized parameters is treated with solution treatment,and the X ray diffraction and metallographic analyses are used to ana-lyze the microstructure.The final preferred process parameters for laser melting are as follows:laser power is 180 W,scanning speed is 500 mm/s and scanning interval is 60 μm.The properties of the specimens fabricated by the optimized parameters are as follows:the density is 99.8%,the yielding strength is 200 MPa,the tensile strength is 285 MPa,elongation is 3.2% and vickers hardness is 135 Hv.The optimized solid solution heat treatment parameter for the specimen is 420 ℃ × 12 h.It can greatly increase the elongation of the specimen to 5.9%.The process is of great significance in the field of aerospace and other high lightweight requirements.关键词
