Abstract

The flowering date of rape plants in Nanchang county was studied by using the meteorological data, and the influ-ences of meteorological factors on the flowering date of rape plants were analyzed. The main conclusions were obtained as follows:the average date of initial budding, popular budding, initial bolting, popular bolting, initial flowering, popular flowering, and vig-orous flowering of rape plants was January 5th, January 21st, February 10th, February 17th, March 1st, March 8th, and March 19th, respectively; the average duration from initial budding to popular budding, from initial bolting to popular bolting, from initial flowering to popular flowering, and from popular flowering to vigorous flowering of rape plants was 7, 8, 8 and 11 d, re-spectively. The regression equations established by using the meteorological factors and the duration ( day number) at various stage of rape flowering could be used to predict the flowering date of rape plants. The duration from initial budding to popular budding of rape plants was significantly negatively correlated with the average air temperature and the minimum air temperature in flowering period;the duration from popular flowering to vigorous flowering of rape plants was significantly negatively correlated with the min-imum air temperature during 2~3 weeks before flowering period, but there was no significant correlation between the rainfall and the flowering date of rape plants.
