Abstract
Objective:The aim of this study was to evaluate the dilaceration' s prognosis after orthodontic traction u-sing cone-beam computed tomography( CBCT) and provided valuable information for the treatment plan. Methods:The CBCT images randomly selected from the database of the department of oral radiology, West China Hospital of Stomatology, were used to measure the inverse angle and the tooth length of both impacted and homonym teeth,before and after the treatment. Results:Analysis of CBCT imaging data indicated that the root lengths of dilacerations were significantly shorter than the homonym teeth. Orthodontic traction treatment of the dilaceration in early dental age can stimulateits growth potential,and there was no significant difference in amount of growth compared with the homonym teeth(P>0. 05). The bending angle and length of mineralized tooth did not change after orthodontic traction. Conclusion:Comprehensive examination with CBCT is helpful for making treatment plan and evaluating prognosis.关键词
