Clinical Observation of Acupuncture Combined with Pelvic Floor Biofeedback in Treatment of Mild-to-moderate Female Stress Urinary Incontinence

Abstract
Objective To analyze and discuss the clinical efficacy of acupuncture combined with pelvic floor biofeedback in the treatment of mild-to-moderate female stress urinary incontinence (SUI). Methods Female patients with mild-to-moderate SUI (65 cases) were randomly divided into two groups, 32 cases in treatment group and 33 cases in control group. The patients in treatment group were treated by acupuncture combined with pelvic floor biofeedback therapy, while the patients in control group only received biofeedback therapy. The amount of urine was recorded by 1 h pad test leak, the number of incontinence for 72 h and the ICI-Q-SF score were compared between two groups before and after treatment. Results In treatment group (before treatment vs after treatment), the amount of leakage in the 1 h urine cushion test was mild (4.7 vs 3.2) g, moderate (10.5 vs 6.4) g and mild to moderate (6.3 vs 3.8) g; 72 h urinary incontinence times: mild (4.2 + 2.0 vs 2.6 + 1.3) times, moderate (6.9 + 1.7 vs 3.8 + 6.4) times and mild to moderate (5.3±2.3 vs 3.1±1.6) times; ICI-Q-SF scores: mild (8.6±1.9 vs 2.4±1.2), moderate (11.4 + 2.2 vs 4.1 + 1.4), mild to moderate (9.3 + 2.4 vs 3.1 +1.5), (P<0.05). In the control group, there was only statistical difference in the number of incontinence and ICI-Q-SF score 72 h of treatment (P<0.05). The three reductions of the three items before and after treatment (mild, moderate and mild to moderate) were significantly better than those in control group (P < 0 . 05 ), and the moderate SUI was the most significant. Conclusion Acupuncture combined with pelvic floor biofeedback in the treatment of women with mild tomoderate SUI has a long-term clinical effect.关键词
