Abstract
Objective To investigate and analyze the status quo, distribution and main characteristics of international orthopaedic publications from China for recent three years. Methods Web of Science database was applied to searching the Chinese articles in all journals included in the Journal Citation Report 2016 under the category of"orthopedics"for recent three years, and then the numbers of articles according to institutions and source journals were analyzed; The most-cited articles were also obtained by sorting in terms of citation, and the name of first author, title of article, key words and article type were extracted. Results A total of 1238 articles, 1264 articles and 1225 articles in the field of orthopaedics from China were included in SCI for the recent three years,and Shanghai Jiaotong University were the most prolific institutions. European Spine Journal published most Chinese articles. The hottest topics of recent three years were"spine"and"knee"surgical article, and the most frequently published article types were clinical articles and systematic reviews/ meta-analysis. Conclusion From 2015 to 2017, Shanghai Jiaotong University and Eur Spine J published most Chinese orthopaedic articles; for most-cited articles, the distribution of number of articles in terms of types is not typically balanced.关键词
