Abstract

Considering the temperature and frequency dependences of viscoelastic damping materials and based on the constitutive model of the materials, the modal strain energy iteration method of ANSYS and MATLAB collaborative simulation is used to simulate the vibration resistance of constrained stand-off layer damping structures. The influences of temperature and thickness on the vibration characteristics of the constraint stand-off layer damping structures are investigated. The results show that there exists an optimal temperature domain which can cause the best vibration resistance effect for the constraint stand-off layer damping structure. Therefore, to ensure a good vibration and noise reduction effect, temperature of the structure should be within the optimum temperature range. With the increase of the thicknesses of the stand-off layer and the constraint layer, there exists the best thickness to make the moral loss factor of the structure reach the peak, and with the increase of the thickness of the damping layer, the amplitude of the increase of the structural modal loss factor becomes larger and smaller. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out the optimal design of the structure.
