Species and Conservation Status of the Endangered Agarwood-Producing Genus Aquilaria
摘要
Abstract
Agarwood is a high-valued traditional medicine in China and other Asian countries.The major resource of this medicine is from the genus Aquilaria of the family Thymelaeaeeae.Owing to the increased international market of agarwood and the destruction of the Aquilaria habitat,most species in this genus are endangered or in threaten.For the purpose of exploiting the agarwoods in a proper range and with correct approaches to make sure the sustainable supply of this traditional medicine,this paper focused on the species of Aquilaria.and their status of usage,wild resource,cultivation,exploitation,trade and conservation in the original countries of them.关键词
