Abstract

A drinking water advanced treatment system utilizing combined processes of ozone-BAC and membrane is used in a water treatment plant of Yancheng City.The results indicate that the conventional index (turbidity,ammonia nitrogen,CODMn) of effluent are reduced to 0.05 NTU,0.03 mg/L and 0.65 mg/L respectively after ozone-BAC + ultrafiltration + nanofiltration membrane treatment process.And the removal rates are up to 99.7%,94.8% and 88.3% compared to conventional treatment.Anionic F-,Br-and SO42-are not detected,Cl-and NO3-fall to 12.6 mg/L and 1.5 mg/L,respectively.However,conventional + ozone-BAC + ultrafiltration may not remove anions in water effectively.The disinfection shows that disinfection byproducts (DBPs) in the effluent of each process (conventional process,ozone-BAC,ultrafiltration and nanofiltration) decrease,and after nanofiltration membrane treatment,THMs and HAAs are only 2.0 μg/L and 50.8 μg/L,respectively.It indicates that combined process can effectively reduce the DBPs content of disinfection effluent to ensure the safety of drinking water quality.Finally,this paper compares the characteristics of each process with the operation and construction cost,and provides references for the upgrading of other water treatment plants.
