Research on Multidimensional Cavitation Characteristics of High-speed Centrifugal Pumps

Abstract
In order to investigate the influences of the evolution of internal cavitation on the stability of high-speed centrifugal pump,the internal cavitation flow of high-speed centrifugal pump and the pressure pulsation of multi-dimensional space monitoring point under unsteady flow are simulated.The proportion of vacuole volume fraction on blade space is studied.The influences of three-dimensional cavitation which is developed from weak to strong in impeller flow channel on the pressure pulsations at tongue and impeller outlet are also studied.The results show that:(a) the volume fraction of vacuole on each blade is increased with the decreases of cavitation coefficient and flow coefficient;and (b) when the cavitation degree is relatively smaller,the change rate of pressure pulsation at tongue and impeller outlet is relatively gentle,but in more severe case,the pressure pulsations at tongue and impeller outlet are greatly affected and the critical point of cavitation coefficient is σ =0.086.关键词
