Abstract
Objective To explore the impacts of dexmedetomidine on penis erection and bladder irritation in the patients who have received general anesthesia for urinary catheterization.Methods A total of 120 male patients who had optionally received general anesthesia surgery and retention catheterization were selected and divided into groups A,B and C (n =40,respectively) according to the order of admission.Before the anesthesia induction,group A received intravenous injection of sodium chloride injection,group B received intravenous pump injection of ketamine,and group C intravenous pump received injection of dexmedetomidine.The erection rate,the duration of erection and the incidence of bladder irritation during the recovery period from the administration to extubation among the three groups were compared.Results There was no significant difference in the duration of operation and extubation time among the three groups (P ＞ 0.05);the erection rate and duration of erection showed significant difference among the three groups (P ＜ 0.05),and that in group A ＞ that in group B ＞ that in group C;the incidence and severity of bladder irritation during the recovery period in group C was the lowest,but the difference had no statistical significance (P ＞ 0.05).Conclusion The administration of appropriate dose of dexmedetomidine before anesthesia induction can effectively improve the incidence of penis erection and the duration of erection in the patients with urinary catheterization induced by general anesthesia.关键词
