Parameter Optimization and Damping Effect of Hyperbolic Surface Friction Pendulum Bearing for Continuous Girder Bridge under Rare Earthquake

Abstract
Research on the parameter optimization and damping effect of hyperbolic surface friction pendulum bearing for multi-span and long-unit continuous girder bridge under rare earthquake was carried out based on the practical engineering background of the (55+4× 90+55) m long main bridge of Hanjiang super large bridge.The bridge dynamic analysis model was established by general finite element software ANSYS.The nonlinear dynamic time-history analysis method was employed to analyze the parametric sensitivity of sliding friction coefficient and the radius of curvature for hyperbolic surface friction pendulum bearing,and compared with the seismic responses without hyperbolic surface friction pendulum bearing.Results show that the internal forces at the bottom of braking pier and the displacements at the top of bra king pier decrease as the curvature radius of bearing increases,and tend to decrease first and then increase as the friction coefficient of bearing increases.The relative displacement between the pier and beam and the displacement of friction pendulum bearing increase as the curvature radius of bearing increases and decrease as the friction coefficient of bearing increases.The horizontal shear force of friction pendulum bearing decreases as the curvature radius of bearing increases,the influence of the friction coefficient of bearing on horizontal shear force is not obvious.The damping effect and economic benefit of hyperbolic surface friction pendulum bearing are comprehensively taken into account together with the characteristics of multi-span and long-unit bridge.It is suggested that the sliding friction coefficient of hyperbolic surface friction pendulum bearing should be 0.03,and the radius curvature of bearing should be 3 m.关键词
