摘要

Abstract

Vitamin A is an essential nutrient for animal growth and development.This paper reviews the requirements and characteristics of absorption and metabolism of vitamin A as well as the characteristics of digestion and absorption of carotenoid in ruminants,and summarizes the need of vitamin A in ruminant diets,with an aim to provide a reference for the proper use of vitamin A in ruminant diets.
