摘要

Abstract

Objective To explore the effect of light signal on sleep-wake in Fmr1 KO mice. Methods The chan-ges of sleep-wake rhythm in different light conditions were recorded and analyzed through EEG and EMG by using the stereotopic localization technique in Fmr1 KO and WT mice, respectively. Results Under the normal light condition (12 h ∶ 12 h light-dark cycle, turning on the light at 8:00 am, and turning off the light at 8:00 pm), wakefulness and sleep were shown in consistent phenomenon of circadian rhythm, and no statistically significant difference was observed between Fmr1 KO and WT mice; Compared with that in the same period under normal light condition, the wakefulness of Fmr1 KO and WT mice were both increased within the two hours from 9:00 am to 11:00 am (P<0.05), and the change within 9:00 am ~10:00 am was remarkably significant difference(P <0.01). However, compared with that of WT mice, the increased wakefulness of the Fmr1 KO mice was lower (P<0.05); Compared with that in the same period under the normal condition, slow wave sleep (SWS)-wakefulness ( W) , W-SWS, and SWS-fast wave sleep ( FWS) phase transformations were increased significantly in both Fmr1 KO mice and WT mice under the condition of turning off the light for 2 hours from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, and the change within 9:00 am~10:00 am was remarkably significant difference(P <0.01). Conclusion The sleep-wake of Fmr1 KO mice is not susceptible to light signal compared with WT mice.
