摘要

Abstract

A corona discharge ionization source is designed for planar FAIMS,which consists of corona needle,mo-lybdenum mesh,copper base and PTFE cylinder. The corona needle is made from tungsten wire with a diameter of 0.5 mm through electrolytic processing with conditions setting as electrolysis voltage at 6 V,the electrolyte NaOH (1 mol/L) and duration time160 s. The voltage-current characteristics of the corona discharge ionization source were observed at pin-grid distance between 2 mm~8 mm,where the correlation between discharge voltage( kV) and the current/voltage( μA/kV) is approximately linear. The FAIMS spectra of DMMP were measured at discharge currents between 1 μA~40 μA,which can be observed that both the reaction ion peak and the DMMP ion peak increased with the discharge current.
