摘要

Abstract

Effective short circuit ratio (ESCR) of voltage source converter based high voltage direct current(VSC-HVDC) in hybrid dual-infeed HVDC system is investigated to evaluate VSC-HVDC system strength. Firstly, small signal model for dual-infeed HVDC system including LCC-HVDC and VSC-HVDC is developed. The model enables LCC operational impedance to be calculated theoretically. Secondly, based on LCC operational impedance, VSC-HVDC ESCR in hybrid multi-infeed HVDC system is calculated. Then taking LCC-HVDC impact into consideration, theoretical maximum available power of VSC is investigated. Thirdly, impact of controller parameters on VSC power limit is analyzed using the developed small signal model. Conclusions are validated by comparison with PSCAD/EMTDC results.
