摘要

Abstract

In hybrid power grid, mutual support, coupling and influence exists between AC and HVDC. Unbalanced developments of the two transmission modes will profoundly change operating characteristics of the hybrid power grid. At present, power system has entered a new pattern of large-scale hybrid UHV AC/DC power grids. Power engineering and academic circles highly generalize its characteristics as "Strong HVDC and Weak AC System", abbreviated as SDC-WAC. However, there is still lack of systematic exposition of this SDC-WAC. In this paper, based on reviewing development course of the hybrid power grid, SDC-WAC definition is proposed and its connotation is explained. On this basis, aiming at aspects of stability criteria, architecture optimization, stability control and so on, some measures are put forward to enhance stability of hybrid SDC-WAC power grid.
