Abstract
This study aimed to study the effects of Chaihu Shugan Powder on blood lipids,insulin and glu-cose transporters 4(GLUT-4)in metabolic syndrome rats.MS rat model was induced by high fat,high sug-ar and high salt diet for 8 weeks.Then 28 metabolic syndrome rats were randomly divided into the model group(3 mL／kg),atorvastatin group(15 mg／kg)and Chaihu Shugan Powder group(18 g／kg),and 10 rat were selected as the control group(3 mL／kg).Blood lipid level,fasting blood glucose,insulin and GLUT-4 were measured before and after drug intervention for 4 weeks.The results showed that compared with the rats of control group,the levels of weight,abdominal circumference,fasting blood glucose,serum lipids and insulin resistance index increased significantly(P＜0.05),but GLUT-4 decreased significantly(P＜0.05). The levels of weight,abdominal circumference,fasting blood glucose,serum lipids and insulin resistance in-dex of rats in Chaihu Shugan Powder group were lower than that of the model group(P＜0.05),while GLUT-4 higher.Chaihu Shugan Powder can treat metabolic syndrome by reducing the levels of fasting blood glucose,serum lipids and insulin resistance index,up-gulating GLUT4 in metabolic syndrome rats.关键词
