Social Network Position and Enterprise Transformation and Upgrading Behavior: A Multiple-Perspective Interpretation Model

Abstract
Aiming at the phenomenon of highly discrete of enterprise transformation and upgrading behavior , on the basis of study on extant re-search, a multiple perspectives interpretation model has been established in the perspectives of social network theory , institutional theories and organization reform theory. Study suggests that the dynamic change of both the enterprise transformation intention and the enterprise transformation ability caused by the different positions an enterprise is embedded in the social network ultimately determines the behavior of the enterprise's transformation and upgrading. Specifically: The correlation of social network centrality and the number of structural holes with transformation and upgrading capability are positive; The relationship of social network centrality with the willingness to transformation and upgrading shows in in-verted U curve; The relationship of structural holes number with willingness to transformation and upgrading is positive ; Enterprise transformation and upgrading behaviors are determined by both willingness of transformation and upgrading and capability of transformation and upgrading. In this regard, enterprises should avoid excessively being embedded in the social network. The integration of a variety of networks promoted by the gov-ernment is an effective means to enhance the enterprises' willingness and the capability to transformation and upgrading.关键词
