Abstract

In order to compare the traditional forest survey method and unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)forest survey method,plots investigation and unmanned aerial vehicle flight investigation were respectively conducted in the Dunyang forest harvesting field,analyzed the aerial photogrammetry,and then extract the average height of the single tree,the crown and the average height of canopy from the digital surface model(DSM)and digital orthophoto map(DOM)builded,through the extraction of factors and plot survey data to establish the DBH-crown model: D=12.07-5.41C+3.38C2-0.41C3,and then completed the estimation of single tree DBH of the test area,and finished the accuracy analysis of the above factor extraction.Compared with the traditional forest survey methods,UAV forest survey methods can be separated from the traditional site-based survey method,after the acquisition of images,in-house processing in the image within the scope of any need to investigate the region any number of times of the survey,the ability and efficiency of investigation are far more than the traditional forest survey method.
