摘要

Abstract

Objective To study the effect of mesoporous microspheres ( MCS ) on the solubility of fenofibrate. Methods Mesoporous carbon microspheres were synthesized by using glucose as carbon source and silica as template. The mesoporous carbon microspheres( MCS) were characterized by volume-sorption analyzer, Xray diffractometer and STA449C thermal analyzer. The release behavior of fenofibrate-loaded MCS was also investigated to explore the mechanism of transforming the crystalline form of insoluble drugs. Results When the ratio of glucose to silica was 2 :1, the mesoporous carbon microspheres with large specific surface area and large pore volume were obtained. Moreover, fenofibrate was fully loaded in the mesopores and the loading content was 40.0%.The cumulative release rate of pure fenofibrate was only 37.5%, which was extremely increased to 69.5% in the fenofibrate-loaded mesoporous microspheres system. Conclusions Mesoporous carbon microspheres can change the crystalline form of the insoluble drug fenofibrate. The release rate and cumulative release rate of insoluble drugs were significantly increased after being loaded into MCS.
