摘要

Abstract

The detached leaves of mature plants of Calotropis gigantea and Calotropis procera were treated under different conditions of low temperatures (15℃,10℃,5℃,0℃,-5℃and-10℃) and 20℃(control) . The changes of physiological indexes including chlorophyll content, soluble protein content, malondialdehyde (MDA) content, the activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and peroxide dismutase (POD) were studied. Results showed that the chlorophyll content declined gradually with the decrease of stress temperature, and the soluble protein content showed a wave-shaped change of increasing at first and then decreasing and then increasing and then decreasing,and the peak came at-5℃;the content of MDA in-creased at first and then decreased, and the accumulation amount was the largest at the range of 15 ℃ to 5℃;the SOD showed a curve of decreasing at first,then increasing,and then decreasing again,and the change of POD was more complicated,but the activity of two enzymes raised to the highest point at 5℃. It was preliminarily considered that Calotropis gigantea had certain tolerance to low temperature stress,but its toler-ance was relatively poor,and the damage was generally serious at around 5℃.
