摘要

Abstract

The adsorption mechanism of bentonite is discussed. The physical and chemical methods for bentonite modification are introduced. And the effects of bentonite on wastewater treatment are discussed,such as:organic dye wastewater,coking wastewater,tobacco wastewater,coal slime water,phenol-,oil- and antibiotic-containing wastewater,micro-polluted water,and so on. Aiming at the problems of bentonite used as adsorbent for environmental protection,the directions for future research are prospected as follows:1)applying research results to actual wastewater;2)developing environmentally friendly and effective modified processes and materials;3)preparing new forms of absorbent;4)promoting research on waste gas treatment with bentonite;5)developing new composite adsorbents with better adsorption effect and treatment ability to wastewater containing complex components.
