摘要

Abstract

To explore the influence of interleaved polyester fibres to carbon-fibre composite on impact resistance,dropping weight tests,C-scan system and scanning electron microscope are used to compare and analyze the damaged section of the specimen from macroscopic and microcosmic levels.The results of C-scan show that interleaved polyester fibres can impede the crack propagation and improve impact resist-ance of the material significantly.The results of scanning electron microscope show that the fibres of inter-leaved veils are surrounded by the resin matrix.It can absorb some energy in the pull-out,debonding and crack process.The crack propagates along the curve in the matrix which results in a river shape ductile fracture of the matrix.The research can give guidance to toughening design of composite used in aeronau-tics and astronautics.It is also of great importance to explore the new toughening method of the composite and improve the impact resistance reliability of aircrafts.
