Reform and Development of Monopoly Industries in China from 1978 to 2017:Retrospect and Prospect

Abstract
The reform and development of monopoly industries have made considerable progress in China since the reform and opening up in 1978,especially in the aspects of property rights, the competition mechanism and the regulatory systems construction. In particular, historic achievements have been made in the separation of links between government and enterprises,while their reforms still face incomplete problems:the mixed ownership reform is still in its preliminary stage; there are still limitations for segmentation to promote competition,and the effective competition is still insufficient;the independent regulatory agencies have not yet been established,and the regulatory system has not been straightened out.Under the background of the socialist construction with Chinese characteristics in the new area,monopoly industries still need to further promote the reform in terms of property rights structure adjustment,effective competition improvement,and reconstruction of the regulatory system. At the same time, the reform of monopoly industries should co-ordinate domestic and international markets to promote high-quality development and enhance the company's global market competitiveness. Furthermore,as a carrier for supply-side structural reforms,the experience of monopoly industries reforms will help to play a radiant role for the overall deepening of reforms and make greater contribution to the development of China's economic quality.关键词
