Analysis of Mental Health Status and Its Influential Factors of Students in Vocational Colleges

Abstract
Objective:To study and analyze the mental health status and its influencing factors of college students in Changsha. Methods: Three high vocational schools in Changsha City were randomly selected from 550 freshmen, sophomores and juniors. The self-esteem rating scale(SES)was used to analyze the students'(MHT)and Social Support Rating Scale(PSSS)to evaluate the students' mental health. Results: The main psychological problems of higher vocational college students in Changsha were learning anxiety, communicative confusion and compulsive tendencies;Male mental health was higher than female(t =3. 195, P＜0. 05), in addition to sexual orientation, terror tendency and impulsive tendency, the other factors scores were lower in male than female(t =4. 185, P＜0. 05);The mental health of sophomore was better than that of freshman and junior, and the difference was statistically significant(F =6. 154, P＜0. 05);Their mental health was influenced by single child or not(t =4. 126, P＜0. 05) 、family income(F =5. 291, P＜0. 05) and source=4. 662, P 0. 05) Students with left behind experience were statistically significant differences to those with no left behind experience in mental health(t =5. 641, P＜0. 05). Conclusion:The main psychological problems faced by Changsha vocational students are learning anxiety, communication puzzlement and obsessive tendency. Students' gender, grade, single child or not, family income, students' source and left behind experience are the main factors influencing the students' mental health. The mental health of college students has an important influence.关键词
