Treatment of posterolateral tibial plateau fractures via the fibular osteotomy approach

摘要
Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of treatment of posterolateral tibial plateau fractures via the fibular os-teotomy approach. Methods The 45 cases of Schatzker typeⅡ～Ⅴ posterolateral tibial plateau fractures were trea-ted by surgery via the fibular osteotomy approach. Regular X-ray film was taken in all patients in order to assess bone union, the complications were recorded. Rasmussen's radiological and functional gradings were used to evaluate knees outcomes at the last follow-up. Results All patients obtained follow-up, the time ranged from 9 months to 35 months. The healing time of the fracture ranged from 10 weeks to 18 weeks. During the period of follow-up, there was no loss of reduction; 1 case presented with symptoms of common peroneal nerve injury, such as local hypesthesia in distal lateral lower leg and dorsi pedis, which recovered at 4 weeks postoperatively. According to Rasmussen's radio-logical grading,the score was ranged from 14.0 points to 18.0 points, 35 cases were excellent, 10 cases were good. The range of motion of the knee joint ranged from -5° to 135°. According to Rasmussen's functional grading,the score of the knee joint ranged from 21 points to 30 points,the result showed 38 cases were excellent,7 cases were good. Conclusions Treatment of posterolateral tibial plateau fractures via the fibular osteotomy approach can obtain sufficient exposure, good reduction and fixation, and postoperative function and stability of the knee joint recover well.关键词
