Optimal allocation of heliostat field capacity for solar tower power plant

Abstract
Solar multiple is a direct parameter reflecting the heliostat field capacity of CSP. And it is a key parameter affecting the capacity of thermal energy storage system. Taking a 50 MW solar tower power plant in a certain area in western China as an example, the energy coupling model and the economic evaluation model of the solar tower power plant are established. Taking the minimum LCOE as the optimization target, the optimal solar multiple values of the solar tower power plant without thermal storage system and with 6 h and 10 h thermal storage time can be obtained respectively. Under certain thermal storage time, the influence of the heliostat field capacity on the economic benefits of the power plant, the efficiency of the heliostat field and the annual capacity factor of the power plant are analyzed. The research results show that there is an optimal combination of solar multiple and thermal storage capacity to minimize the LCOE of the solar tower power plant. Allocating the heliostat field capacity and thermal storage capacity under this combination, the construction of the power plant will obtain the optimal comprehensive economic benefits.关键词
