摘要

Abstract

An appropriate main protection configuration scheme for stator winding is a key to safe and reliable operation of large generator. In this paper, the types and quantities of internal short circuit faults in large-sized permanent magnet synchronous wind turbines are analyzed. Statistics is done for fault type, location and quantity of GW82-1500 type permanent magnet synchronous wind turbine. Then, the finite element method is used to calculate the current of each phase and branch, the sensitivities of multiple kind of differential protection schemes are analyzed and calculated, and the dead zone location of the main protection device is obtained. On the basis of analysis aforementioned, a main protection scheme of GW82-1500 generator is proposed.
