Abstract

Graphite oxide (GO) was prepared by the improved Hummers method, and the nano-SnO2 loads were prepared by hydrothermal method. After ball milling and thermal reduction, SnO2@rGO composite material was obtained. The morphology, composition and structure of SnO2@rGO were characterized by SEM, Raman and XRD, respectively. The negative electrode of sodium ion battery was prepared by SnO2@rGO, and the stability of the battery and coulomb efficiency were measured. The results showed that nano-SnO2 was well distributed to form composite materials on the surface of graphite oxide, which surface area reached 102.1 m2/g. The electrochemical testing results showed that the ratio of the battery in the 100 mA/g current density to SnO2@rGO reached 339 mA·h/g, which efficiency after 100 cycles was still 98.75% . The results showed that SnO2@rGO had good capacity retention ratio and cyclic stability as a negative electrode material of sodium ion battery.
