The efficacy of gradient demineralized autogenous tooth with different conditioning times used for alveolar augmentation

Abstract
Objective To compare the efficacy of the gradient demineralized teeth with different conditioning times to be used as autograft in alveolar augmentation. Methods 12 New Zealand rabbits were randomly divided into 4 groups (A to D), the maxillary incisors were fixed on the incisor distal of mandible by titanium nail after acid treatment with different conditioning time, mandible samples were taken for X-ray examination and hematoxylin-eosin staining at 3 months after surgery. Results 3 months after the operation, the boundary between bone and autografts were distinct in undecalcified teeth group (group D), the autografts were absorbed in the early stage in the group with long-term decalcifying time(group A), the autografts were replaced by new bone in the group with short-term decalcifying time (group B and C), and the speed of bone remodeling significantly increased with decalcifying time. Conclusion Grandient demineralized autogenous tooth can be used for alveolar augmentation, to some extent, the speed of bone remodeling significantly increased with decalcifying time.关键词
