T-cadherin在胃癌组织中的表达及临床意义
ReducedT-cadherin expression is associated with poor prognosis of gastric cancer patients

Abstract
Objective:The aim of this study was to evaluate the expression and significance of T-cadherin in gastric cancer.Methods:Gastric cancer and matched adjacent tissues from 166 patients receiving surgical resection were included.The expression of T-cadherin was detected by immunohistochemistry,Western blot and Real-time PCR.The expression of VEGF was detected by immunohistochemistry and its relationship with T-cadherin expres-sion was analyzed.Meanwhile,association between T-cadherin expression and clinicopathologic feature data were an-alyzed.Results:The mRNA and protein expression of T-cadherin was significantly lower in gastric cancer tissues than the corresponding adjacent cancer tissues (P＜0.05).Decreased expression of T-cadherin protein was correlated with smoking,larger tumor size (diameter＞4cm),lymph node metastasis,poor-differentiation and higher TNM stage (P＜0.05 or P＜0.01).However,the expression of T-cadherin protein was not correlated with gender,age, acohol and Hp infection(P＞0.05).The multivariate analysis showed that T-cadherin expression was an independent prognostic factor of the overall survival rate of patients with gastric cancer.Conclusions:The results indicate that T-cadherin is down-regulated in gastric cancer and may play an important role in the progression of gastric cancer.T-cadherin could be a valuable prognostic marker for gastric cancer patients.关键词
