摘要

Abstract

The change orders that make equipment installation project unstable always lead to additional costs, delays, quality defects and efficiency loss. At present, related studies only research the causes and impacts of engineering changes rather than the change propagation among various components. The key components that have large consequences can't be identified therefore. The change management is also aimless and ineffective. In this paper, the change propagation properties are analyzed in three levels: component level, path level and system level. According to the hypothesis of change propagation, change propagation relationships are concluded in all kinds of architecture fields. At last, an energy station project is introduced as a case to study how changes propagate among various components, and the key components will be identified to make a contrast to the real list. The feasibility of this method is confirmed by this case study.
