摘要

Abstract

In phased array ultrasonic testing,the focal law is the core for realizing beam steering and focu-sing,which has direct bearing on the effective beam coverage and final ultrasonic testing results.Because of the coupling water layer and workpiece under test are heterogeneous medium,there is certain difficulty in the setting of the focal law.To solve the above difficulties,the focal law setting of water immersion phased array ultrasonic testing was studied using the aluminum alloy test piece with a flat bottom hole of 5~50 mm depth and diameter of 0.8 mm,and the setting principle of the focal law corresponding to dif-ferent depth range was obtained.Besides,the effective coverage of the phased array focusing beam in the direction of wall thickness was achieved.Furthermore,this method can also be extended to the application of water immersion phased array ultrasonic testing of many materials.
